There have been many times I don’t know when to stop painting a picture. Sometimes, like with this Circus Acts painting it took me 7 years to start.

I have always been fascinated with the way people created art long before production line paints and photoshop compositions.

I am half way through renovating this beautiful seat and as I sand back the layers of paint I can’t help but think about all the people who have sat on this shallow, long wooden church pew.
